Many countries publish company registries for free: UK Companies House, Japan’s gBizINFO (corporate number), Singapore ACRA (data.gov.sg), Norway’s Brønnøysund, and France’s Annuaire des Entreprises. AI DD Map integrates them — pick a country, enter a name, search once.
UK Companies House is the transparency benchmark (status, officers, insolvency). Japan’s gBizINFO includes capital, employees and business summary. Singapore ACRA exposes 2M+ entities via data.gov.sg. Norway and France also offer free official lookups.
The most common cross-border mistake is matching a same-name company in the wrong country. AI DD Map routes each country to its own official source to avoid this.
For EU companies (e.g. France) only entity-level data is shown — natural-person director names are omitted, in line with GDPR.
Open Company DD →Yes — all are free open data, and AI DD Map’s integrated search is free too.
Not supported: China’s registry is closed and Hong Kong charges per record, which breaks the free-and-open principle.
US private companies are fragmented across 50 states with no unified free API; only listed companies are searchable via SEC EDGAR.
